    The Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital is a Specialist Palliative Care Unit and Hospice for patients in South East Dorset and South West Hampshire.

    The charity, Macmillan Caring Locally, works in partnership with University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust to provide the services at the Macmillan Unit and in our community. The unit is supported and funded by Macmillan Caring Locally providing an exceptional standard of care and a homely environment for patients, their families and visitors. The charity also provides nursing and medical equipment to improve patient treatment and comfort.

    The Scope

    Macmillan Caring Locally first contacted Rejuvenate for a cost-effective on-premise server to support a new business application called ACT and required a site audit to ensure they were getting the most out of their IT.

    The Solution

    Rejuvenate provided Macmillan Caring Locally with a space-saving micros server with server essentials for the use of ACT and to support remote working.

    Following the Site Audit Rejuvenate supplied Macmillan with new laptops featuring Full Disk Encryption to meet the requirements of GDPR backed up with a full cloud backup and disaster recovery solution to ensure business continuity.

    Macmillan Caring Locally was on a legacy POP Email solution, to bring them up to date to ensure best working practices and seamless working across devices and remote Rejuvenate migrated them over to a full Microsoft 365 Solution.

    The Results

    Macmillan now has a fully scalable IT Infrastructure and reliable IT Support team to assist them with all their requirements, with the ability to work remotely with all of their systems.

    We were recommended by our daughter to contact rejuvenate and we weren't disappointed. We were at a complete loss with IT issues with our business, but Luke walked us through the process with complete ease, using language that we understood. These events some of which are virtual can then be enjoyed by our clients, staff and supporters and also allows them take an active part in all we do. The clients really love them (especially the Dragon Boat Challenge, Summer Fayre and Summer Soul) and they talk about them for weeks afterwards which is really motivational!
