A domain name is the one thing you can't rebuild
You can rebuild a website. You can rebuild a mailbox. You cannot rebuild the name everyone types to find you, and you cannot get it back once somebody else has registered it.
Domains don’t fail dramatically. They lapse. The renewal notice goes to an address nobody reads, the card on file was cancelled two years ago, and one Tuesday morning the website is gone and so is the email. By the time anyone notices, the name is in a holding period and getting it back costs a great deal more than renewing it would have.
The fix is dull and it works: put the domain in your business’s name, on an account your business controls, with someone whose job it is to watch the date.

Getting your domains back under control
This is the job we do most often, and it usually starts with a question nobody can answer: who actually owns this?
Give us the name and we’ll find out where it’s registered, whose details are on the record and when it next falls due. That part costs you nothing and takes a phone call.
If it needs moving, we handle the transfer – including the awkward version, where the previous developer isn’t replying. Your website and your email keep working the whole way through. When it’s done, the domain is registered to your business, on an account you can see, with the renewal in a diary that isn’t yours.
Nobody needs your home address on a public list
When a domain is registered, the contact details behind it go onto a public record. Anyone can look it up. For a lot of small businesses run from home, that means a home address and a personal phone number sitting on the internet – which is how the spam calls and the fake “domain renewal” invoices find you.
Privacy protection replaces those details on the public record while your ownership stays exactly as it is. We’ll turn it on unless you’d rather we didn’t.
Email that matches the name on your van
you@yourbusiness.co.uk reads differently to yourbusiness1998@gmail.com. One looks like a business. The other looks like a hobby that might not be there next year – and customers make that judgement in about a second, usually without noticing they’ve made it.
Once you own the domain, using it for email is straightforward. We’ll set the DNS up and get your mail running on Microsoft 365 →, so the address is professional and the mailbox is a proper one.

How do I find out who owns our domain name?
Send us the name. We’ll check the public record and tell you where it’s registered and whose details are on it. It takes a few minutes and there’s no charge for looking.
Our old web designer registered it and we've lost touch. Can you help?
Usually, yes. There’s a proper process for recovering a domain when the registrant has gone quiet, and we’ve been through it plenty of times. It’s slower than a normal transfer, but it’s rarely a dead end.
Will our website or email go down while the domain transfers?
No. A transfer moves who the domain is registered with, not where it points. Your site and your mail carry on as normal, and we check the DNS records before and after.
Do I have to host with you if I register my domain through you?
No. Plenty of clients keep the domain here and point it at a site hosted elsewhere. Your name, your call.
Should I register the .com as well as the .co.uk?
Often worth it, if the .com is available. Taking the obvious variants stops someone else trading off your name, and we can forward them all to your main site. We’ll tell you when it isn’t worth doing.
What happens if we want to move the domain away later?
You take it. We’ll release it and send you the transfer code. No hostage-taking and no exit fees.
